2011 is off to a good start in the Waco Real Estate Market…with higher levels of activity and continued low interest rates. I feel obligated to let you know that with the rebound in the market will be a rebound in the interest rates. The message is clear…2011 will be a great year to buy real estate…due to the last of the super low interest rates…lower prices…and good selection. That could mean several different things depending on your situation. If you don’t own a home now it is time to get into the market. If you do own and you are moving-up to a larger home, it would make sense to consider making your move this year despite lower selling prices. Why? Two reasons…if you are moving-up, the value of the new home is even more depressed than your current home…and, the lower interest rates will allow you to buy tens-of-thousands more new home now than when the rates go back to the normal 6.5-7% we've seen in the past.
